Jordan Alford

Partner, Attorney at Law

Jordan was raised in the North Metro area of Atlanta. After graduating from Central Gwinnett High School in Lawrenceville, Georgia, Jordan was determined to receive a quality education, so that he could return and serve the community where he grew up. He earned his undergraduate degree at Brigham Young University. He was also fortunate enough to meet his wife, while there, and even more fortunate to convince her to move with him to Georgia, so that he could attend law school at Georgia State University College of Law. GSU provided Jordan with a number of excellent opportunities, including working with some of the leading academics in their areas of expertise. Jordan Alford is especially grateful to Professors Mary Radford, Julian Juergensmeyer, and Ryan Rowberry, for their tutelage and mentorship.

While in law school, Jordan was able to work at a number of different law firms, whose areas of specialty ranged from criminal law to real estate. He was likewise privileged to serve as an Intern in the Superior Court of Fulton County with Judge John Goger. During his time with Judge Goger, Jordan was able to work on cases that ranged in subject matter from medical malpractice to derivatives litigation. These diverse set of experiences impressed upon Jordan two important things: 1) There is enough diversity in the law to find something you love doing; and 2) Don’t practice in an area of law you don’t love, because being a good lawyer requires nothing less than 100 percent commitment to your clients and your craft.

Jordan has helped hundred of families design and implement estate plans that are special and unique, just like the family they are made to protect. Likewise, it has been his privilege to represent the interests of the elderly in Guardianship and Conservatorship cases all over the state of Georgia. Out of all his areas of concentration, his favorite service to provide is to entrepreneurs that are in the start-up phase. He feels a kindred spirit with other entrepreneurs and loves the excitement and determination that these new business owners bring to the table, as it rekindles his own passion for creation and building. This passion enables him to approach their business with the same determination as if it were his own.

Jordan’s family is his greatest joy. He and his wife were blessed with two adorable and hilarious children. There is never a dull moment in the Alford home where the mantras are “today’s the day for an adventure” and “there’s always a way.” Jordan tries to fill every moment of his free time with various hobbies like woodworking, building gadgets and computers, kayaking, and volleyball.
